Winter hadn’t quite left Portsea just yet for Kimberlee and Matthew’s wedding, but the sun broke out just enough for our photo session, creating gorgeous light for these two gorgeous souls. After getting ready photos at two stunning holiday homes, we headed to a real gem of a location, the Quarantine Station on the point for the first look, which is always fun to shoot. Here we had fun exploring the grounds of this historic location and I can’t wait to return one day. The ceremony commenced at the newly renovated Portsea Hotel overlooking the water, with the sound of the crashing waves and the last moments of the afternoon light warming us all up. Despite icy temperatures, Kimberlee and Matthew braved a photo session on the Portsea Pier, a place real special to them. Please enjoy the sneak peek and share to your friends and family.
I have had the privilege of knowing Kirsten’s family for nearly 25 years, They are such beautiful and peacefully spirited people, every time I see them they welcome me with open arms. I had photographed Kirsten’s big brother’s wedding a couple of years ago so I was lucky to be a part of this one too. Even my assistant Kim said on the way home ‘I really loved that wedding, it was so much fun and those guys are just awesome people.’ Despite some timing mishaps at the start of the day it flowed nicely from there to a night of electric dancing on the dance floor of Witchmount Estate with my favourite wedding DJ, Steven Angelini of Melbourne Mobile Music.
Enjoy the sneak peak and be sure to share to your fellow friends. X
Yesterday I had the privilege of being part of the amazing wedding between Maaike and Marc in the beautiful sea side town of Les Sable-d’Olonne on the west coast of France. You could mistake this wedding for a dream, stunning weather, by the beach, a church from a fairytale and a couple so in love, with an energy that radiates. It was easy work to be honest, they were perfect together in front of the camera, I just told them to be cute and they did the rest.
I feel so honored to be flown across the world to be a part of this special day. It just wasn’t a single day, but a whole weekend of great friends and family from all over Europe. I will let the photos speak for themselves now, enjoy and be sure to share the love.
Sometimes I can just tell with a couple, what their wedding day is going to be like, not long after I meet them for the first time in their initial consultation. I listen to the story of how they met, how they fell in love and the journey leading up to the planning of their wedding. But what stands out for me is the energy between two souls, how they just get each other and are in constant hysterics. That tells me we’re in for a beautiful wedding full of fun and laughter.
I rate the love between these two 10/10, Adam’s speech 10/10, the guest’s energy 10/10, venue 10/10 and Daniela’s mum’s espresso 10/10! You wouldn’t have thought this wedding was basically put together in around a month, which is in incredible feat. Everything went smoothly, everyone had fun and beautiful photographs were made.
Mel and Steve are yet another reminder why I do this, a fun loving couple, an awesome bridal party with an incredible bond and a family that shows so much love and togetherness. They truly have their ducks in a row (you’ll see what I mean by that in the photos below)! I am lucky to be let into these people’s live documenting their legacy, it is truly an honor. Today I bring you a sneak peek of their fun celebration at a venue I highly recommend, this wedding really had it all.
Wedding season is in full swing now. March kicks off with Katherine and Jervis’ wedding that started off at the Polish Marion Shrine, Aberfeldie. I must commend the highly spirited bridal party and couple dealing with the high 30’s temperature during an epic photo session at my now favourite photoshoot location, Melbourne University. Everyone had a ball including me, the chemistry between these two is the type you wish you could bottle and that still was even more evident at the reception at the uber cool Brunswick Mess Hall. Here is a small taster of such a fantastic day.
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding celebration of Briana and Sian at the Darebin Parklands on a gorgeous summer’s day. Even though they had their official wedding previously, it was time for a round two so they could share the experience with Sian’s parents who came all the way from the UK, so they could see the union of their love first hand. What’s better than one wedding? Two weddings right! Plus their uber cute doggo Ned could sit in on the nuptials and of course steal some attention. The celebrations kicked on at the 3 Raven’s brewery in Thornbury for beer, fun times and wicked tunes.
Fun, electric, connected, loving, smiles, laughter; are just a few words that encompass Deb and Richard’s wedding at the classically beautiful Euroa Butter Factory. It was so good to be part of wedding that was super relaxed, all the guests just gelled together really well and you could tell they fed off the awesome energy that Deb and Richard gave off. Despite being a hot day, it was all smiles and the last shoot session of the day the light was really turned on for us. Feel free to share these photographs, everyone needs to the love between these two.

Yesterday’s wedding was a clear reminder for me why I do this job, not only seeing a gorgeous couple get together on their wedding day, but the uniting of two loving families. Tears were shed, smiles worn and epic dancing until late. I was privileged also to be part of not only their engagement shoot, but also their tea ceremony, full of meaning and beautiful traditions. Enjoy the sneak peek, still more to come this wedding season.
