Ok ok, I know its been months since my last blog, but I have a great excuse. Business has been so good, I haven't had time! Today I bring you a sneak peek of the gorgeous Tara and Sam's wedding that took place at the Fairfield Amphitheatre followed by a down to earth and fun reception at the Grandview Hotel up the road.
The weather gods were truly active that day with forecast showers all week with an anxious bride and photo/video team. But alas! The gloomy morning cleared for a mild sunny day right until sunset only to have the heavens open up just after all the formalities were complete. Talk about lucky! We had a great time covering this wedding, its all about that closeness with each other and their families. I hope you all enjoy the images, more to come after delivery. Please share the love because its contagious from these two!
This temple blessing was a first time for me, but I wasn't nervous! It actually was a lot of fun to photograph. There was beautiful details around the Hoa Nghiem Buddhist Temple in Springvale, the outfits were amazing and Julie and John explained to me proceedings beforehand. It also helped having a couple that are just beautiful that had no trouble showing each other they loved each other with incredible charisma. I thought it was really special with only close family and the closest of friends present. After the official event I had the chance to photograph Julie and John on their own which contributed images to their final albums.
You too if you have a temple blessing planned, you have a pre wedding tea ceremony or even would like an engagement session photographed, lets sit down and work out custom collection along with your wedding. Enjoy the photos!
I relish the opportunity to photograph a legendary couple in a legendary venue, along with a classic story of these two love birds. Real, real love it was. First the boys kicked off with fine whisky and cigars at Baranows Cigar Lounge in Hawthorn, a great way to ease into the day I thought, but it was too bad I couldn't join in. I could tell this day would be full of laughs with this lot! Aaron is lucky to have these guys as mates. Back at Butleigh Wootton Amy and the gals were getting ready in the 'fit for a princess' bedroom, champagne, gorgeous dresses and light flowing from the windows. What more could you want from this fairytale?
Amy looked stunning with her classic beauty and vintage dress that matched the majesty of the grand staircase of the mansion. I hope you enjoy the images as much as Alex and I did taking them and sharing this post will bring you good tidings ;)

This past April I had the chance to visit the homeland of my parents, Holland; Great food, tulips, cobblestone streets and gorgeous architecture, making this my favourite holiday destination so far. I got to revisit the towns my family grew up in, experience hospitality at its best and eat as well as drink to excess! Because I have so many images, I'm splitting this post in two, so I can reserve some for your viewing later. Thanks to the very welcoming Dutchies that met me over there, you made my trip truly special and I can't wait to return. For my wedding photography work, be sure to keep scrolling and like my Facebook Page for updates. And for the gear heads, all the shots were taken with a Canon 5D Mk II, Tokina 20-35mm f2.8, Sigma 50mm f1.4, Canon 85mm f1.8 and Canon 135mm f2L. Stay tuned for part two.
Every couple I photograph for a wedding is special in some way and I enjoy every single one, but with Sharni and Ryan, the cute as a button factor was through the roof! There is nothing I love more than a vintage themed wedding, with amazing and quirky clothing selections and cool decorations. Combined with the awesome people, venues and the light on the day, I could not have hoped for any better here for the results I got on the day. For links to the venues see the sneak peek previously posted on the blog. Also a big thank you to Alexander Gardner for his assistance and photography on the day, he went above and beyond and captured some truly special images. I really want to share this wedding around, so good karma vibes will be sent your way when you post a comment and share using the FB share button or by using the Social Media widgets at the bottom of this post. Thanks, and until next time....
