Sometimes I can just tell with a couple, what their wedding day is going to be like, not long after I meet them for the first time in their initial consultation. I listen to the story of how they met, how they fell in love and the journey leading up to the planning of their wedding. But what stands out for me is the energy between two souls, how they just get each other and are in constant hysterics. That tells me we’re in for a beautiful wedding full of fun and laughter.
Mel and Steve are yet another reminder why I do this, a fun loving couple, an awesome bridal party with an incredible bond and a family that shows so much love and togetherness. They truly have their ducks in a row (you’ll see what I mean by that in the photos below)! I am lucky to be let into these people’s live documenting their legacy, it is truly an honor. Today I bring you a sneak peek of their fun celebration at a venue I highly recommend, this wedding really had it all.
Wedding season is in full swing now. March kicks off with Katherine and Jervis’ wedding that started off at the Polish Marion Shrine, Aberfeldie. I must commend the highly spirited bridal party and couple dealing with the high 30’s temperature during an epic photo session at my now favourite photoshoot location, Melbourne University. Everyone had a ball including me, the chemistry between these two is the type you wish you could bottle and that still was even more evident at the reception at the uber cool Brunswick Mess Hall. Here is a small taster of such a fantastic day.
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding celebration of Briana and Sian at the Darebin Parklands on a gorgeous summer’s day. Even though they had their official wedding previously, it was time for a round two so they could share the experience with Sian’s parents who came all the way from the UK, so they could see the union of their love first hand. What’s better than one wedding? Two weddings right! Plus their uber cute doggo Ned could sit in on the nuptials and of course steal some attention. The celebrations kicked on at the 3 Raven’s brewery in Thornbury for beer, fun times and wicked tunes.
Yesterday’s wedding was a clear reminder for me why I do this job, not only seeing a gorgeous couple get together on their wedding day, but the uniting of two loving families. Tears were shed, smiles worn and epic dancing until late. I was privileged also to be part of not only their engagement shoot, but also their tea ceremony, full of meaning and beautiful traditions. Enjoy the sneak peek, still more to come this wedding season.
It has been busy in my camp with weddings nearly every weekend; today I bring you the meeting of two gorgeous souls with an amazing loving family, Gerblanca and Corey who got hitched at the Little Vineyard, nestled in the stunning rolling hills of Chirnside Park. How is that dress from Love Me Twice Bridal? Love a splash of colour! Enjoy the sneak peek, many more to come over the coming month.
A beautiful story of two high school sweethearts getting married is a beautiful thing, just like these two Jane and Miles. I have actually known Jane for a couple of years now, working with her on a couple of modelling projects which was bags of fun, and now I have had the privilege to photograph their wedding at one of my now favourite wedding venues. Gorgeous chapel, beautiful lush greenery, a cool rustic vibe and the best bit; a donkey to pat! The donkey actually took a great liking to Miles, must be his calm nature.
It was great to see such a close group of family and friends, everyone got involved to make their day so special. And I love your work bridal party, you guys were the best! Hope you all enjoy the sneak peek, be sure to follow my Facebook and Instagram for updates.
Perfect weather all week for the start of Spring, then heavy rain forecast for your wedding day, that’s just Melbourne at it’s best isn’t it? But even so, no amount of rain can wash away the fun and the love these two have for each other. Spirits were high, with a really intimate gathering on a Tuesday to celebrate the anniversary of their first date (how cute!). With a beautiful speech from Saige’s eldest daughter that brought on tears from everyone, despite the clouds there was sunshine in everyone’s hearts.
Enjoy the sneak peek, more to come after the delivery of their photos. Enjoy South Africa guys!
In some cultures, rain on your wedding day symbolizes fertility, abundance, unity, cleansing and a sign of a happy, long lasting marriage. When you see the beautiful connection between Maggie and David, and judging by the amount of rain that fell on their wedding day, I'm sure all of those will come true. It truly was a fun day, in the end there were smiles everywhere, fun Polish traditions and a great celebration of love and family.
It is always a pleasure to visit Farm Vigano, I always get well fed there, thanks to Suzie and the team for their hard work. Justin and I were great buddies in high school, so we have known each other for over 20 years. His incredible nature and fun loving attitude to life has attracted a beautiful woman equally full of life and love. I knew from the outset, these two would get married. I even jokingly said to them probably a good year or two ago that I'll be their photographer at their wedding. I'm glad I was in the end, because, the ceremony of bringing family together for the celebration of marriage was shown in its truest form, with displays of incredible mateship and strong bonds within their families. And the speeches, my god, Justin's son Jackson brought the house down leaving not one dry eye in the place. Please enjoy this little snippet of their day, sharing this post to your friends and family will grant you a lifetime of riches :)
