Nyssa & Dulan’s Melbourne Treasury Wedding

My assistant Nyssa got married! Nyssa is the second in line of super amazing assistants I have had for years now, as each one of them that work for me always has a long standing relationship in the MVP team. I had the privilege of being there for her and Dulan when it came to the photography of their wedding day. That connection makes my job easier as they know what they will get with me on the day, what result they will receive in their gallery and they also know how to pose to light too, which is super handy!

Nyssa and Dulan are both super sweet and calmly natured, the low key and easy day of getting ready together, no wedding party and 30 odd of their closest family and friends suited them perfectly. We kicked off the getting ready in one of my favourite hotels to shoot at, Sofitel on Collins. Ceremony took place in the Margaret Craig Room in the Treasury Building on Spring St, followed by a quick fire shoot session around some the classic locations around the CBD. The reception was held at a little hidden called the Alphington Social, where we got fed until we burst with amazing pastas and pizza.

If you want that type of wedding where you won’t get hella stressed planning, use this model. It is cheaper, easier and everyone still had an amazing time.

Top Tips from the couple: Do what is important for both of you at the wedding. Only ask for advice from a couple of people who care about and know you and your partner, less people you ask, the less confused will you be.
