Carlton, Melbourne Engagement Session

You may find Sophie-Rose a little familiar, she is one of my amazing video crew that joins me on some of my weddings either as a videographer or an assistant. It was only fitting I photograph her engagement session, as well as her wedding in March 2024 that will take place in Lorne. I had met Owen only Zoom video chat before, but he was also a natural in front of the camera. We started our cool little walking circuit at their favourite vintage lolly shop on Lygon St, unfortunately we didn’t get to take pictures in there, but with the resulting sugar hit, they were fueled for a love filled galavant around the streets of Carlton.

I must say, Carlton has a sweet range of little spots to photograph at, when sunny, there is some gorgeous light to be had, especially around University and Drummond Streets. This led us to one of favourite locations to shoot, the Melbourne Museum precinct. There we have greenery, urban architecture old and new as well as open spaces with an open sky to the setting sun.

If you’re considering an engagement photo shoot, or you just want a shoot with the love of your life, I can put together a plan and a concept to suit your favourite pastime or location. Shoots booked with a wedding will be discounted from your total fee, or if you want to test me out for a possible wedding coverage, a percentage will be subsidised from any future bookings.
