The best way to sum up the consistency of a photographer’s skill is to see an entire gallery from start to finish. I provide at around 3 full galleries with the couple’s permission for you to view that are a similar type event to yours. That way you can see how I handle the different lighting conditions and what is typically photographed. You might be interest in how I take photos of the simple things like family photographs.

I am only one person unfortunately and only can only attend one wedding a day. You have to enquire to check your date availability first, either using the contact form or messaging me on Socials.

In many cases I won’t take on back to back weddings (unless they are Treasury elopements) and even limit how many over a week and a month. That is more to control my pre and post wedding workload.

Weekend dates during peak season months are often the first to get booked out, often over a year in advance.

Even though I have been a part of around 1200 weddings over the years, there will be times where I haven’t been to your venue. Before the day I will look up on the internet what to expect, but I don’t go into a wedding with any preconceived ideas, as I want make the moments yours, not copied from the venue website. No matter the location, I can make it work….I find light before location and make it more about your connection as a couple than the venue. I am also prepared for absolutely any lighting condition, by having on standby an armoury of lights. For property weddings I haven’t been to before, I will get there well before the start time to ensure I know the lay of the land and where the sun will set.

My pricing sits in the upper level middle market. I have three main service levels for Melbourne based weddings and I have a couple of service options for destination weddings. They range from $1600AUD to over $6000. I’ve had packages as much as $11k in the past, but they were very tailored special circumstances.

I offer discounts for weddings on a Monday to Thursday pending availability and during the southern hemisphere Winter months (June-August).

Yes, I offer an extensive range of prints and Albums. Your gallery is connected to a print store based in Melbourne that has loose prints from a few dollars to mammoth wall hangings and mounts.

Albums with Linen bound hard covers start from $800AUD inc GST upwards which is only marginally more than the mainstream offerings but made here in Melbourne, better quality and supporting small business.

Yes, I can provide a second photographer to work under my brand. I have found for most weddings over the years, they are only needed when the guest list is greater than roughly 120 people, where covering one of the getting ready aspects of the day is not practically possible or if your ceremony venue might have limited movement allowed or is difficult to move around in or large in size. I do however use an assistant in some cases where there is complex logistics or lots of equipment to wrangle. Not only do they allow me to concentrate on my job better, they also can assist you and your wedding party with whatever you need.

Yes, I am the only person that photographs weddings in my business and the only photographers I hire in are vetted second photographers with quality equipment. I hire only photographers I have either met or worked with before, or using a specialised crew finder website that is reviews based.

This enables me to control the style, level of service and offer the best knowledge that you do not get with agency style studios.

Absolutely I travel for weddings, I live for it. I have seen weddings all over Victoria, New South Wales, Perth, Queensland, Thailand, France and Italy. I will photograph anywhere in the world if I can get there via transport. I offer all inclusive packages to Europe, Perth, Gold Coast and Brisbane as the transport and accommodation costs can be reasonably predictable. Outside of that, all travels fees are charged at cost and added to your invoice. Any weddings outside of greater Melbourne are subject to a small travel fee. POA.

The number of photos I take at a wedding can vary depending on coverage time booked and the order of events. On average 500-700 over a full day is typically delivered or 60-100 photos per hour of coverage. Your photos are sent electronically in a professionally hosted gallery with the ability to do slideshows, save favourite lists, share with guests and even order prints, albums and mounts directly to your door. You can download them in both high resolution (approx 6000pixels long) or sized for web (2048pixels long), individually or all at once. They are ready to print yourself and is live for at least 1 year after delivery. Delivery time varies from 4 to 6 weeks depending on the seasonality of weddings. Sometimes you might get them in two, it really depends on the seasonal workload. Elopements are often around 2-4 weeks.

I deliver sneak peeks of your photos really fast! I pride myself on delivering a great array of sneak peeks fully edited to you within 48 hours, most times the next day. I have even done same day in the case of morning Treasury weddings.

In order to book in your exclusive date, I require 30% of your total fee to hold it within 7 days from proposal acceptance. This can be transferable to other services or dates if your wedding is postponed or cancelled beyond your control. This can be expanded upon in an email or on your consultation call. The balance is to be paid one month out from the wedding. Cash settlement is available upon request. All print and album purchases made through your gallery can be paid via direct deposit, credit/debit card, AfterPay or PayPal.

I would arguably have one of the best and most robust data management and backup systems in the industry. It starts at capture, both of my cameras have two memory card slots that write simultaneously for redundancy and are carefully transported home for backup. The same night they are copied to a hard drive system that mirrors itself twice and then uploaded to a secure cloud server for remote backup in the cloud. Once the job is complete, they are archived on another mirrored hard drive array and synced to the cloud. The RAW files are periodically destroyed to recover space, but the JPEGs are kept forever. For your safekeeping the safest and longest lasting archive is a printed album.

All photos you receive in the gallery have been individually edited with care to provide the best possible print ready file possible. Years of experience with printers and file handling ensure the utmost care has been taken for a quality output, but I cannot control the quality if printed by a third party outside of my providers. I cannot undertake re-edits as the editing recipe I deliver has been used for some time and represents my brand. I rarely use Photoshop unless I had a certain vision in mind or to prep a file for a large print/album spread. Light retouching is applied to close up hero shots where quality is paramount. Your final gallery is all that can be delivered as rejects are taken out for technical flaws or being duplicates. RAW files are a proprietary format that often cannot be viewed or shared, are larger to archive. I liken it to handing you the ingredients of a cake and say, bake it yourself, but with no recipe. You can buy the files on a hard drive for a fee if required.

I endeavour to make our transaction fair and inline with consumer law. When it comes to straight up cancellations, I will keep the initial 30% booking fee to cover the costs associated with booking an exclusive date, the cost of staff and the admin incurred. Postponements can be made at no cost within 12 months of the original booking date, after that or for a second time a 5% fee is applied. If there is special circumstances that need consideration (such as long booking lead time or a popular date), I will look at it case by case.

As long as I have been operating, this has only happened three times (including severe hospitalisation), and I’ve had to step into the shoes of people that it has happened to as well. I am lucky to personally know some creatives to back me up when needed, I am also the admin of a 500 strong network of photographers and videographers based in Melbourne, so a suitable replacement will be found no problem. You will never be left at the altar without a photographer. In fact I have a couple of photographers on speed dial that know the way I work, my procedures and can communicate with my partner who manages my business in case. I feel I have the best backup processes in the country.

Pretty much all competitions and publications are run by businesses to give out awards for prizes or bragging rights based on a paid to submit basis. Some are even based on advertising spend with either a directory, magazine or industry body with in most cases a very narrow field of competition. I don’t need awards to show that I have skill with a camera and provide the highest level of service. My folio and testimonials speak to that already. Features in leading publications are more than likely paid promotions or a wedding of exceptional style.

Yes of course I offer engagement photo shoots! I love these as it takes the time pressure away from wedding day timelines. I encourage to go for a theme or a look in a place of meaning for you both. I also can tie this into an engagement party.

Not long ago I did offer videography for weddings from 2019-2025, but I found with a constantly changing crew and editor (mainly due to availability), I was unable to offer a consistent look and feel. I will now refer my clients to the range of reputable suppliers I regularly work with as synergy on the day with a videographer is paramount to produce the quality of service I promise, so feel free to ask for recommendations.
