MELINDA & SHAWN’S IMMERSE WINERY WEDDING

Last wedding of the season? Or do I call it an off season wedding? This rad winter exchange of nuptials between Melinda and Shawn went off with a bang, you really couldn’t ask for better weather, where it was sun and blue sky all day with no wind. We started off with Shawn and his crew getting into their finely tailored suits and they poured their whisky neat (the best way). The ladies also got ready onsite at Immerse Winery’s main suite for a first look, firstly from Melinda’s brother and then her husband to be Shawn just outside.
With time running short and the sun setting fast, we skipped the family photos to tear up the back hill of the winery in my freshly washed car (always have to present well) to catch the last few minutes of light of the day. Some muddy tires and shoes were had, but we came away with some epic photos under a pastel purple sky with guys and gals in tow. We then snuck into the chapel for a few minutes of playtime with a flash to see what photo experiments I could cook up.

After dinner, it was time to light up the dance floor with probably the biggest and loudest wedding band setup I have ever seen, with lighting to rival some concerts. After some dances to honor their parents who couldn’t make it form Sri Lanka, the party was jumping non stop until I left, I even got pulled into the fray, weary and tired after two back to back weddings this weekend, but it was too much fun to resist. Even Shawn got on the mic to sing which brought the house down! What an awesome wedding between these two gorgeous and gentle souls.
