Genevieve & Joel’s Noisy Ritual Brunswick Wedding

Genevieve & Joel’s Noisy Ritual Brunswick Wedding

What a way to end the year and celebrate my 50th wedding for the year. Genevieve and Joel met whilst working as cancer researchers at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. It took over a year before they both worked up to courage to go on a date (in early 2016), but after only a few months they were already in love. Now they have their three year old labradoodle Joffi named after their favourite scientist which is adorable.
This wedding between these two loving souls was in every respect, my ideal type of wedding to capture. They got ready together in their own house, no crazy big dress that was difficult to get around in, they took Joffi for a walk for one of their photo sessions, their number one priority was greeting every guest in attendance, no big bridal parties to shout over, not fussy details and a flowing and relaxed timeline not jammed with formalities. I hope weddings become more and more like this, they are more connected and true, whilst still being able to have over 100 of your best friends and family around to celebrate.

Props to the most disco celebrant I have ever seen Jon Von Goes he was vibrant, funny and different.
