Nicola & James’s Treasury Wedding
I love a morning Melbourne CBD wedding, the hustle and bustle is mostly over as the offices are in session, no weekenders filling up the parks and the morning light that drapes over the city’s east end is gorgeous. Nicola and James had a nice and intimate ceremony at the Vic Marriage Registry with only just their parents present who are from different parts of the world, to later celebrate again in the UK where James is from.
I could tell the parents were just as excited as they were, snapping pics every moment and smiling ear to ear.
Tell me about the beginning!
Met on Hinge when we were both living in Singapore. Went for tacos and a bar crawl.
When and where did you get engaged?
Never did a “proposal”
James actually bought me a ring but had to return it as he found out through my friend that it was the wrong stone 😝. Once I moved over to Sydney we looked around for a ring but never found one we liked and within the budget so gave up. One day we went shopping in the city as James wanted socks. He was in the shop choosing socks and I went across to the jewellery shop and there my ring was so he bought it there and then. It was perfect! Most expensive sock shopping day ever!
It is a gorgeous and unique ring by the way -MV.
