Renee & Harley’s Ceres Playspace Brunswick Wedding

Renee and Harley were blessed with the most perfect of days, a partly cloudy and 24 degrees at the funkiest of locations, Ceres Playspace in Brunswick. What a story between these two and the very intimate setting of an antique train car was perfectly fitting.

Tell me about the beginning!

We met via a dating app called Hinge and had our first date at a cafe. We lived 1hr away from each other so would meet in either Monee Ponds or Footscray for dinner during the week, and then stay at each other places over the weekend. Renee had to get used to the lack of uber eats options in Harley's regional home town whilst Harley had to get used to paying $7 for a flat white in Renee's inner city suburb.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in November 2024 on a walk by the river. Harley wanted to propose at our favourite walking spot but Renee was newly pregnant and grumpy due to the nausea so took some convincing to go

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? Feel free to elaborate about your choices and venue.

We love the urban farm vibe of Ceres and wanted to go for a non traditional setting such as this. Ceres has lots of cute, quirky buildings and should have stunning gardens in spring so we are hoping to get some lovely outdoors shots. Style wise we would describe it as cocktail

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Seeing each other for our first look, seeing our son Max all dressed up and celebrating later that night with extended family and friends
