Indigo & Addison’s Syndal Baptist Church & Peninsula Wedding

Wedding party on the photoshoot looking cool and relaxed in the forest at Shoreham Beach Mornington Peninsula

I know it is cliche, but you get those weddings sometimes that reminds you why I do this. Indigo and Addison was one of those weddings, really wholesome, connective, relaxed and a celebration with a great bunch of friends being an awesome support on the day for their best friends. It also proves you don’t need an open bar to have a celebration and you can even have the ceremony in the middle of the day in Melbourne’s best season.

We started during my favourite time in autumn, an early morning for that crispy warm light this time of year brings and ended it the same way down in Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula. A beach that I never knew existed, but was a paradise in every way. Amazing textures, stunning trees, silky white sand, rocky outcrops for interest and locals walking their dogs at sunset.

Tell me about the beginning!

We knew each other for 8 years but didn't really talk until post-Covid. It was a small getaway with a group of friends to Lake Eildon where Addison asked Indi out. 3 years later, we are getting married.

When and where did you get engaged?

It was a cute surprise proposal on Mount Dandenong with a Mustang involved (06/07/2024).

Addison intended for there to be a really nice view but the weather had other plans...

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? Feel free to elaborate about your choices and venue.

We both really love clean, monotone vibes - its simple and edgy. Yet, have thrown a little red in there (Addison's favourite colour).

In terms of locations for our photo shoot, we both have a close connection to the Mornington Peninsula. Whether its on the beach or more inland, we really love its unique aesthetic as well as having life long memories there.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

The excitement of the ceremony and getting to celebrate with everyone. Also looking forward to enjoying the food but we may get a little distracted catching up with people.

Top Tips for planning your day!

Be on top of everything early and try not to overthink as much as possible (can be a little difficult).

Do plenty of research for vendors, there are plenty of amazing ones.
