Selina & Anton’s Mont Du Soleil Elopement
Having known about this property for some time, I have always wanted to photograph an elopement here. Now I have had the chance with the small and private union between Selina and Anton at the picturesque Mont Du Soleil, situated in the heart of the Dandenong’s that overlooks the Yarra Valley.
This is an example of how you still have an amazing and beautiful elopement amongst nature, with a backdrop that looks straight out of Tuscany or Southern France. Also, if you need one of the only Russian speaking celebrants in Victoria, Mila is your woman.
Tell me about the beginning!
Selina was on holiday in Moscow, Russia 2023 and met Anton in a park. She told Anton that she wasn't looking for a boyfriend and was just there for a holiday... They fell in love instantly. So much so that Selina sacrificed part of her summer to spend in Russian winter to be with Anton while he was living there. Anton came to Aus in 2024 and they both knew that they did not want to be separated again! Love happens in the most unexpected places.
When and where did you get engaged?
We starting planning to get married at the end of 2024, but officially became engaged (proposal and telling family) in March 2025
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? Feel free to elaborate about your choices and venue.
We just wanted a chill day, the two of us, no fuss, in a beautiful place, something nice for dinner, because we are going overseas the next day.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
We are looking forward to the cake and finally being able to call each other husband and wife!
Your Top Tips on planning your day!
I dont think I have any tips, the whole process has been quite straightforward as it's an elopement, but definitely set your budget and stick to it. Even with a low cost elopement, it's quite easy to blow the budget!
