Tell me about the beginning!

We met in December 2019 in Brisbane on Bumble (aka the classic modern love story). Our first date was on Friday the 13th, so it was the luckiest first date on the unluckiest of days.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in August 2023 at Chatsworth House in the UK. Pride and Prejudice has always been my comfort movie, so Ryan knew exactly what he was doing taking me to 'Pemberley' to live out my Lizzy Bennet dreams.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? Feel free to elaborate about your choices and venue.

We don’t really have a set theme. We are keeping things relaxed and true to us. Think less insta-worthy and more simple celebration. We’re getting married at the registry building, which suits us perfectly... no fuss, just the important bit. A quiet little moment to celebrate something in our own way.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Honestly, we’re just excited to be married. Excited for the moment we say “I do” and start this next chapter together.

Your Top Tips on planning your day!

Do it your way! We didn’t stress over the little details and didn’t feel the need to follow traditions just for the sake of it (and tbh the idea of a room full of people with two introverts sounded like a horror film). The day is about you, so plan it in whatever way feels right.
